This position works with agency art directors and creative directors, assuming lead copy responsibility on assigned accounts and projects. Some responsibilities include client and internal copywriting, assisting in new business pitches, and concepting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong conceptual portfolio to further her or his career, working on a variety of client categories and participating in agency pitches.

Your Qualities:

  • Strong skills in conceptual thinking and campaign development across multiple media, including digital, print, video/audio, content and email/direct mail
  • Ability to understand a brief and adapt writing style to reflect the brand voice
  • Comfortable presenting creative and discussing revisions with clients
  • Highly collaborative working style, within the creative team and among all agency departments
  • Can handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Take responsibility for the overall project, from brief to production
  • A commitment to the highest quality finished product

What We Want to See in Your Portfolio:

  • Executions of individual campaign concept across multiple mediums and channels (we want to see that you know how to treat each medium)
  • A mix of media, from digital to print to video
  • Emphasis on digital media including display ads, native, social, email and content
  • An understanding of the interplay of visual and verbal elements
  • Great headlines
  • Great looking stuff—let us know you know what good design is all about
  • Some longer form copy would be good to show (but not too much please!)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5 plus years as a copywriter in an agency setting
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
