MSI x CBVI: Success in Filling Job Openings of TVI’s

Lifting others up is a core value at MSI. That’s why we were so excited to partner with the Department of Human Services Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired to help close the gap in open TVI (Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments) positions. Becoming a TVI is a rewarding career path that pairs specialized educators with students that have unique learning needs.

Creative Solutions

It all starts with the right message. To reach our audience, the initial design needed a clean look with concise messaging. Outside of design, alternative text solutions with language tailored to reach both English and ESL speakers were included to reach prospective teachers.

Activations Across Digital & OOH Tactics

Digital tactics were at the forefront to help drive awareness of the CBVI program and guide prospective teachers through the recruitment process of becoming a TVI. Since this is a niche audience, the targeting started out broad, using age, interest, demographic, and geographic criteria, with a heavy focus on high school and college students who might not have heard of this opportunity.

Outside of digital, out-of-home (OOH) advertising provided another touchpoint by introducing high-traffic areas directly on college campus’, including message boards, cafeterias, study halls, and classrooms where students are already thinking about their future.


A Strategy that Drives Results

By including various tactics to amplify awareness of the CBVI TVI job postings, MSI surpassed the campaign goal, generating 30M impressions and achieving job fulfillments by 2x the goal. Achieving these results was possible due to:

  • Optimizations including specific geographic expansion

  • Placements at high-traffic locations
