Marketsmith Inc. is elated to announce that we have been voted again as one of New Jersey’s Best Places to Work in 2022 by NJBIZ. This award is based upon employee feedback in the Best Places to Work survey, which was distributed earlier this year. This comes as no surprise to the employees here, who provided such positive feedback on behalf of our agency.

At Marketsmith, there’s so much opportunity for growth and advancement. The people here work hard to ensure we work smart and that no stone goes unturned. We are an agency that weathered the pandemic storm and came out stronger on the other side, with an almost fully remote staff and work-from-anywhere environment. We are diligent in taking care of our employees both during work hours and beyond.

So how do we do it?

We asked our EAC (Employee Action Committee) to help us fill you in on a few things we like to do to keep up our employee morale:

Game Nights – It’s important that we take a break from all the important initiatives we are working on to spend some time together playing games and exercising other parts of our brain! Of course, being in this mostly virtual (but kind of hybrid) environment means that we have to be creative. Between the trivia nights, debate nights (is a hot dog a sandwich??), and in person happy hours, we like to have fun!

Events – As the summer is now in full swing, Marketsmith is making sure we take advantage of the sunshine and beautiful warm weather. We have a Summer Meet Up scheduled at the end of July where we’ll have outdoor games, great food, and good company. Happy hours are also important to Marketsmith to ensure we are connecting with one another outside of work and beyond the computer screen. We believe we are more than just the work that we do – we are humans. As permitted, our goal is to have in person meet ups at least every other month.

Town Halls – The monthly town hall meetings are very important as this is where we go through important business and marketing updates. During town hall, we also like to celebrate employee achievements, whether that’s getting engaged, married, moving houses, or getting promoted! No celebration is too small for us, and we love making our employees feel seen and appreciated.

A new place to call home

In addition to the great programs and benefits offered to our employees, this year we also moved to a new office location that accommodates both small groups and expanded needs. The office has a fantastic common area where we host happy hours, town hall meetings, and client get together. Included in this space is a 24/7 gym, bikes to use on the wooded grounds, massage services, and an art studio with class schedule.

We also have added an additional paid holiday to our schedule, Juneteenth, allowing our employees to observe the emancipation of enslaved people within the US.
