The reason why I love Gary Friedman… How many Brands put it out there? I mean really put it out there like this; with a bold, refreshed and exquisite eye? The Fall Source Book for Restoration is 616 pages of brilliance.
I actually wanted to write about this book four weeks ago when I first got it, but was afraid I had lost my objectivity. I was stupidified at the level of depth, size, dimension, awesomeness of the photography and even the copywriting. It is honest, bold and sets the stage for, not arrogance, but confidence… something most Brands lack. I wanted to wait to write so that I would be in control of my thoughts, and have the ability to compare it to whatever else came in my mail box. But, nothing came, and when I revisited the book and went through the pages I once again found it romantic and exciting. It made me want to make my home look more artisan.
I want linen with old world quality, and I want catalogs, magalogs and resource books to inspire me. Mr. Friedman, you are bold, your eye is beautiful, and your willingness to shape and lead this Brand is breathtaking. Yes, I am in love!
